Dr. Ron DeSandre

Dr. Ron was born on the east coast on Long Island, NY.  His family utilized chiropractic for health problems on a frequent basis.  In fact his first adjustment by a chiropractor was when he was 12, a check up after a head injury in a sledding accident.  He moved west to study his undergraduate training at UCSB.  Graduating in 1975. He completed his post graduate training at the National College of Chiropractic, outside of Chicago, IL. He graduated with honors.

After getting licensed in California in 1982, he worked in Santa Barbara, CA for several years with another doctor who specialized in sports medicine. There he was fortunate to interact and help treat several athletes training for the 1984 Olympics.  

He opened his solo practice in Carpinteria in 1985. The focus of the practice has been family oriented and over the years has expanded to incorporate a wellness model of healthcare.  Utilizing protocols learned from Dr. John Brimhall and others.

Andrea "Andy" Prado 

Andy is the quarterback of our team, our office manager.  Always there with a smile or a laugh to make you feel welcome.  She is also of east coast origins.  Philadelphia, PA.  She has a horticultural background and has worked in several office type settings.  She possess a great personality and a lot of commonsense and down to earth type wisdom that really helps suit her for the job of office manager at our clinic.

She is married and has 5 children and 6 grandchildren.  As the saying goes if you want to get something done give it to a busy person, that would be Andy!

Maureen Holdaway 

Massage therapist who is originally from Great Britain.  She has been in Carpinteria for the last 5 years and most recently this last year at our office.  Prior to this she worked at The Oaks in Ojai, health oriented spa for two years, and had her own massage business in Los Angeles for 10 years.  She has very skilled and healing hands with just the right amount of depth to her treatments. She has been trained in foot reflexology, accupressure and Reiki techniques. She was trained at the California Healing Arts College in Santa Monica, and IPSB, a healing arts college in Los Angeles.

Massages are provided in our office in a relaxing, cozy, healing space.

Brian D. Jones 

A traditional Naturopath who comes to us also from the east coast, Delaware. He maintained a successful naturopathic health care practice for 5 years there.  He has a B.S in health and fitness education from the University of Delaware and a Masters in Education.  He completed his Naturopathic training at Clayton College of Natural Health in Alabama.

In his "prior life" he was an Executive Director at a YMCA, and a High School special ed teacher.  In the early 1980's his interest in organic land farming motivated him to start a company specializing in converting pesticide/chemical fertilizer based farming to one of natural amendments to soils and organic approaches.  He developed that into a successful business for more than 20 years.  More recently in the last 10 years his interests in human health and his background in biological soil healing techniques to create healthier plant environments led him to study human nutrition and Naturopathy.  He is a great addition to our office and brings a unique perspective on balancing the body at the cellular level through nutrition and diet.
